[01.42] Mail call

TAYLOR: Doc—you’ll go deaf doin’ that.

HOCKENBURY: That’s the point Taylor. Get me a profile and get me out of here.

RUIZ: Since when do they trust you with the mail man?

TAYLOR: Since the company clerk started kissin’ up to his new sergeant. He knows which side of his bread’s gonna be buttered on.

PERCELL: You ain’t even sergeant yet.

TAYLOR: It’s okay Percell, I aced that Promotion Board, aced it brother. The letter’s probably already in the mail.

PERCELL: Will you do ma a favor pass those out then—get with the program.

TAYLOR: I might as well. Ain’t no tellin’ when I might need a favor from you grunts. Danny Percell---Newsweek Doc---your Penthouse didn’t come in yet Roo. Ah guess what? Check this out—Suzanna Lozada.

RUIZ: Come on

TAYLOR: Wanna share it brother?

RUIZ: It’s classified brother.

TAYLOR: Okay. Hey look at this---Oxford, Mississippi.

RUIZ: That’s Johnson.

TAYLOR: “Hi Marcus, I know you guys are still hanging in there because I saw you on TV. Made me miss your ugly mugs but not the Nam. The good life here is waiting for you when you get back. Mini skirts on the ladies, burgers an’ fries on the plate an’ clean sheets on the bed – wow. It’s great an’ after taking fire from Charlie, taking a C minus on an English paper doesn’t seem too rough. If you blow it here you get to try it again. Of course, I’m the only brother in most of my classes” that figures “reminds me of walking into a ville an’ havin’ those little kids run up to you touching your skin. But I’m here an’ I’m making out just fine. Write me back when you can, sincerely, Marvin.”

PERCELL: Sounds like he’d doin’ real good.

TAYLOR: Good! Crackers hasslin’ him.

RUIZ: That’s not what he said Taylor.

TAYLOR: That ain’t what he wrote Roo, but that’s what he said.

[03.44] Briefing

STRINGER: Nau Nghia Province lies directly between the Parrot's Beak section of Cambodia and Saigon. The security of Saigon depends largely on the security of this province. Chieu.

CHIEU: The Province Chief who controls this region is Colonel Lan Nguyen. Several days ago his wife was kidnapped by the VC. We think she’s being held somewhere in this sector. Until she’s returned safely Colonel Lan is refusing to allow any artillery fire in his province.

GOLDMAN: Can he do that?

STRINGER: Unfortunately yes. With Tet approaching I don’t have to tell you the problems we’re facing if the VC try to pull what they did last year.

GOLDMAN: Well the Colonel’s gotta know that.

STRINGER: He does. But he’s adamant, no wife -- no artillery. MacV thinks it’s important for Vietnamese-American relations that we co-operate with men like Colonel Lan to show them that we can work together.

GOLDMAN: But he doesn’t have to co-operate with us.

STRINGER: I don’t like this kind of mission any more than you do but American lives depend on that artillery. The fact that we are being used by some potentate doesn’t change that. One more thing, he wants to meet the men who are leading this mission. You and Sergeant Anderson are to be at his estate this evening.

GOLDMAN: Yes sir.

STRINGER: That’s all Lieutenant.

[05.08] Get the stripes first

TAYLOR: No more guard duty. No more K-P. You know, I should have thought about being a sergeant a long time ago.

RUIZ: You know maybe you ought to get the stripes before you pin ‘em on.

TAYLOR: I told you clowns, it’s as good as done.

ANDERSON: Taylor. You got a minute?

TAYLOR: Get ready to salute boys.

TAYLOR: Yeah Sarge

ANDERSON: Look Taylor, there’s no easy way to tell you this but you didn’t get the promotion.

TAYLOR: Who got it?

ANDERSON: Craig.

TAYLOR: Craig? That jeep jockey over at Team Cobra?

ANDERSON: Yeah. LT did everything he could.

TAYLOR: Sarge, I got three months an’ grade on that sucker.

ANDERSON: Yeah, we all know you do Taylor. Next time’s yours.

TAYLOR: That’s the same thing you said when Johnson got passed over.

ANDERSON: And Johnson finally got his stripes.

TAYLOR: Finally. Sarge if me an’ Johnson was white it wouldn’t be no finally.

ANDERSON: Oh come on Taylor, you know that’s not right.

TAYLOR: Ain’t it? Thanks man

PERCELL: Sarge. You think he wants to be left alone?

ANDERSON: No, I think he needs company.

RUIZ: Taylor. Hold up.

[06.14] Consider the source

PERCELL: Consider the source Taylor, Craig. It figures don’t it?

RUIZ: I mean, come on, he spends his life sucking up to Sergeant Hannegan.

PERCELL: Yeah he does. It’s a wonder his lips haven’t fallen off yet.

RUIZ: You know you wouldn’t want your stripes that way Taylor. It just wouldn’t be right.

TAYLOR: Yeah well what went down ain’t right either.

SHAKEY: Hey Taylor, what’s happenin’?

TAYLOR: What’s up Shakey

RUIZ: He’s got some bad news.

PERCELL: Yeah Hannigan’s boy Craig took his stripes.

SHAKEY: White on white. No explanation needed. Come on down to the Far West, take your mind off it. Cody Ryan’s shipping back to the States next week, some of the brothers helping him celebrate.

RUIZ: Taylor, I thought we were gonna go find some girls.

SHAKEY: They got some girls down at the Far West. Come on Taylor.

TAYLOR: I’ll catch you brothers later alright. Alright? Shakey

[07.05] Horticultural interest

COLONEL LAN: Thank you for coming. Oh Sergeant, I noticed you admiring this flower. Do you have an interest in horticulture?

ANDERSON: No Sir, I don’t think so.

COLONEL LAN: These are Jasmine. I have them flown in from the West Indies.

ANDERSON: That’s a lot of trouble and expense for flowers isn’t is sir?

COLONEL LAN: I understand your army spends a great deal of money bringing US soul shows to its soldiers and buildings PX’s.

GOLDMAN: Nobody’s begrudging your wealth Colonel. I just question whether or not you have the right to tell my army how to fight this war.

COLONEL LAN: And who should have that right Lieutenant? Is it not our country still?

GOLDMAN: I believe we’re here to talk about your wife.

COLONEL LAN: Precisely. She is called Li. Without Li, all of this is empty and worthless. Please find her and bring her back safely.

ANDERSON: We’ll do our best sir.

COLONEL LAN: That’s good. Those that succeed on my behalf usually find themselves rewarded quite generously. As you can see gentlemen, I pride myself on my collection of oriental treasures.

GOLDMAN: That won’t be necessary sir. We’re soldiers, we do as we’re ordered.

COLONEL LAN: Yes. I know your orders exactly. Gentlemen, let us have some tea.

[08.49] The Far West

TAYLOR: Cody—Cody, my man. I hear you’re a short-timer now.

CODY: Five days an’ a wake-up. Hey man, these clowns wanted me to re-up. You believe that jive?

TAYLOR: I made that mistake once. Next time around I’m gone Jack. I’ve seen enough Charlie to last me a life time.

SHAKEY: It ain’t Charlie you’ve got to worry about. It’s Mister Charlie.

CODY: Tell it. I mean it’s whitey using us brothers to kill gooks an’ is using them gooks to kill us brothers. I mean black kills yellow, yellow kills black.

SHAKEY: An’ whitey’s standing on the side lines counting bodies.

TAYLOR: Brothers ain’t the only ones out there dyin’ man.

CODY: Yeah? How often you see a white man walkin’ point? I mean if somebody’s gonna get greased, send a nigger.

TAYLOR: That ain’t how it works in my unit.

SHAKEY: Yeah, you wait. You’ll come around brother. Everybody’s buddies in the bush, ‘cos they need you there. You get back to the world, it’s back of the bus again.

TAYLOR: Well while I'm here I ain’t got much choice you know.

SHAKEY: Well I told you before you can jump off that train any time you want. Just tell ‘em you’re sick. Tell ‘em you got scary dreams. What they gonna do?

CODY: Yeah an’ sayin’ “no” is just the start. I mean, we’re gonna start takin’ power with a gun.

SHAKEY: We’ve finally got brothers tellin’ it like it is. Huey P Newton, Eldridge Cleaver.

CODY: Right on. An’ when I ship out next week, I’m gonna take a few of them AK-47’s home with me. Gonna have my own little private Tet in Saint Louis.

TAYLOR: Come on.

CODY: Hey bro, learnin' from the Cong. I mean if the revolution comes, I’m gonna be ready.

SHAKEY: Not if the revolution comes, when it comes.

[10.30] Where's Taylor?

ANDERSON: Evenin’ gentlemen.

RUIZ: Sarge.

ANDERSON: I hope none of y’all are planning on partying too late tonight, we’ve got skids up at oh six hundred. Where is Taylor?

RUIZ: He just went out. He should be right back.

PERCELL: Sarge, d’you want us to tell him you’re lookin’ for him?

ANDERSON: No, that’s alright. Sure is a good thing he’s not in town though isn’t it? I mean it’s almost curfew.

[11.13] Danny in The Far West

TAYLOR: Percell, what are you doin’ here? Are you crazy?

PERCELL: Well, I don’t know. Are you? Taylor, it’s almost curfew an’ we’ve got a mission in the morning.

TAYLOR: Well I got a dart game to finish.

PERCELL: Taylor, come on man, we don’t have a lot of time you know what I’m talking about.

SHAKEY: You heard the brother. He’s busy.

CODY: This is a segregated establishment. Separate but equal.

PERCELL: Taylor, you wanna help me out here? Tell these guys it’s between us.

SHAKEY: Now I know you don’t wanna go starting no fight in here cool breeze.

PERCELL: Thanks. You’re right, I really don’t wanna start a fight in here. I just wanna talk to my buddy.

SHAKEY: Maybe he ain’t your buddy no more.

CODY: I think we show this honky where the gutter is.

PERCELL: Taylor, if I do have to get into a fight in this place, I’m hittin’ you first.

TAYLOR: Me? Why?

PERCELL: Just seems like a good idea.

TAYLOR: I’ll throw the honky out.

[12.52] What you doing in a place like that?

PERCELL: Taylor, come on how. Hey, if you just give me a chance ???

TAYLOR: Percell, it ain’t funny. What are you doin’ comin’ into a place like that?

PERCELL: What are you doin’ comin’ in a place like that?

TAYLOR: The last time I looked I was savin’ your butt.

PERCELL: Taylor saving my butt? Hey man, I’m here to save your butt. Sarge is lookin’ for you.

TAYLOR: He’s lookin’—you found me. So what?

PERCELL: So what? I already told you inside, we’ve got a mission tomorrow. What is your problem?

TAYLOR: I don’t have a problem.

PERCELL: Taylor the hell you don’t. Ever since Johnson left you’ve been moping around feelin’ sorry for yourself.

TAYLOR: In case you haven’t noticed the color balance on our team had just taken a definite switch to the white side of the spectrum.

PERCELL: Oh Taylor now give me a break. No-one on our team gives a damn whether you’re white, black, yellow or brown.

TAYLOR: That’s a nice thought Percell, but that ain’t the way it is. That’s just the white man’s way of thinking.

PERCELL: Listen man, your friends are back at Barnet, the guys that really care about you. Get with the program, you comin’ with me or what?

TAYLOR: I’ll think about it.

[13.55] Nice of you to show up Taylor

RUIZ: What’s he tryin’ to prove?

PERCELL: I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, running ain’t gonna prove anything, I could tell him that.

RUIZ: Well look who decided to show up.

ANDERSON: Taylor, hope this little mission doesn’t interfere with your social life any.

GOLDMAN: Taylor, if I thought one of my guys was out past curfew, that’d make him AWOL an’ I could write him up for an Article 15.

TAYLOR: Yes Sir.

GOLDMAN: Alright. We’ll talk about this later.

GOLDMAN: Alright you guys, no contact until we reach the objective. If we’re lucky S-2’ll be in the neighborhood an’ we’ll be able to get out of here by nightfall.

ANDERSON: Let’s saddle up.

PERCELL: Taylor, glad you showed.

TAYLOR: Don’t mean I’m stayin’.

[15.06] Search for "rich bitch"

PERCELL: Ru—Ru. Sarge said to hold up.

TAYLOR: Can’t believe I’m out here putting my life on the line for some rich bitch who wouldn’t give me the time of day.

RUIZ: Just think of us as well-armed baby-sitters Taylor

GOLDMAN: Alright, the woman was seen by S-2 in this AO last night. We’re gonna go round the top of this ridge an’ try and come up behind ‘em. Taylor, you’re on point.

TAYLOR: Point?

GOLDMAN: Yeah, you’ve heard of that. Saddle up.

[15.48] Found Li

VC: ???

GOLDMAN: Sergeant. Have a look.

GOLDMAN: I want you and Taylor to take the two guys out by the river. We’ll send Percell in to snatch the girl. We’re gonna move down river an’ cover you if it gets hot.

ANDERSON: Percell. – let’s go

[16.38] Rescue Operation

VC:  ???

PERCELL: It’s okay, we’re Americans. Americans

LI: No (Vietnamese)

VC:  ???

GOLDMAN: Covering fire.

PERCELL: Sarge!

ANDERSON: (get her?)

[17.53] Check her out Doc

ANDERSON: Alright get up out of there now come on. Doc, check her out.

GOLDMAN: What’s going on Doc, she alright?

HOCKENBURY: She’s fine—so’s her baby.

[18.19] No-one mentioned a baby

ANDERSON: LT, nobody said nothin’ about her havin’ a baby.

GOLDMAN: Yeah. Chieu.

CHIEU: Yes sir.

GOLDMAN: Ask her if this is her baby.

LI: Of course it is. What do you think?

ANDERSON: You speak English real good there lady.

LI: You do not.

GOLDMAN: Alright, look you’re gonna be fine. We’re gonna take you home now.

LI: You’re from my husband?

GOLDMAN: That’s right. He’s very worried about you.

LI: But not about our daughter. He wanted a son—an heir.

GOLDMAN: Well—I’m real sorry about that. Doc, see if you can give her something to calm her down. We’re gonna get a chopper in here and you’ll be home in a coupla hours. Pham.

[18.56] Radio broken

PHAM: LT Radio been hit. Won’t work.

ANDERSON: Looks like it saved his life.

GOLDMAN: Oh great. Alright, let’s lose the radio. Saddle up you guys, we’re about five clicks from PZ Alpha.

HOCKENBURY: LT. This lady don’t need calmin’ down, she needs coolin’ down. She’s got a fever—she shouldn’t be walkin’.

GOLDMAN: Well then we’ll carry her.

HOCKENBURY: Come on.

LI: I can walk on my own.

GOLDMAN: Percell, you’re on point. Doc you stick with the woman. Taylor, give her a hand with the baby.

TAYLOR: Let’s go Princess.

[19.40] Heading for PZ

HOCKENBURY: Sssh—it’s okay ???

LI: Water. Please.

HOCKENBURY: Marcus.

LI: My baby. Give it to my baby.

ANDERSON: Hey come on now. Keep it down back here.

LI: I will talk as loud as I want until my baby is fed.

ANDERSON: Lurp-rats here.

ANDERSON: At least we agree on somethin’.

LI: I cannot feed my baby soldier’s food. Where is her bag?

HOCKENBURY: Er—the lurp-rats have cream, they have protein. Probably really really good for the baby.

[21.00] Party time?

GOLDMAN: What we havin’ a party back here? This AO belongs to Charlie -- not to us.

HOCKENBURY: We’ve got to get her fever down. She should not be movin’ now.

GOLDMAN: Well we’ve gotta keep moving. Doc, I don’t care. Give her pills, give her hot compresses, give her cold compresses. Let’s just keep going.

HOCKENBURY: Even if it means killin’ her?

GOLDMAN: Do what you can, but do it quietly.

[21.28] VC find their comrades

VC:  ???

[21.42] Li getting sicker

HOCKENBURY: She’s gotta rest.

GOLDMAN: We can’t stop, we won’t make the PZ on time.

HOCKENBURY: LT. We stop now or we kill her.

ANDERSON: LT, it might not matter depending on how close on our tail they are. There’s always a later pick-up.

GOLDMAN: Alright – fifteen minutes.

HOCKENBURY: Thank you.

GOLDMAN: Alright, I want you to take Percell, double back see if we’ve got company. We’ll meet you at this fork in the trail in fifteen minutes.

ANDERSON: Roger that. Percell, let’s go.

[23.07] Danny & Zeke spot VC

[24.03] Baby's hungry

LI: Little Tu is hungry.

HOCKENBURY: Okay.

LI: That will only make her sick again.

HOCKENBURY: We have to do something to keep her from crying.

LI: I can make baby food from the ‘erbs. (Vietnamese talking to baby)

GOLDMAN: Anything?

ANDERSON: ‘Bout a dozen VC half a click back – maybe more behind.

GOLDMAN: Alright that’s it. From here on out we keep moving. No more stopping to rest.

TAYLOR: LT – she’s gone.

GOLDMAN: Perfect! Percell, you stay here an’ maintain security. Sergeant, you’re with Taylor

[25.20] In pursuit of escapee

GOLDMAN: What the hell are you doin’?

LI: I’m going home.

GOLDMAN: That’s right, we’re gonna take you home.

LI: I’m going to my village, An Lai. It’s not far from here.

GOLDMAN: No. We are taking you back to your husband. Those are our orders.

LI: I do not belong there. Lan Nguyen's house is just another prison. I escaped there once.

TAYLOR: Wait a minute – you sayin’ you ran away from your husband? The VC didn’t kidnap you?

LI: They kidnapped me but only after I returned to my village, after I left my husband

[26.05] VC close

[27.31] Problem Taylor?

GOLDMAN: You got a problem Taylor?

TAYLOR: No Sir.

GOLDMAN: Good. ‘Cos if you do maybe you’re not ready to be a sergeant.

TAYLOR: What’s that supposed to mean?

GOLDMAN: It means doin’ whatever it takes to help keep your guys alive. I’m prepared to do that. If you wanna be a sergeant, you better be prepared to do it too. Let’s go.

[28.10] One big happy hunting party

GOLDMAN: Sergeant. Were those the same VC you saw before?

ANDERSON: No but they’re gonna run right smack dab into ‘em an’ make one big happy hunting party.

GOLDMAN: Well we’ll never make it to the PZ. We lost too much time.

LI: Lieutenant. Lieutenant. My village An Lai, very close. Rest there—home.

ANDERSON: Might not be a bad idea LT. Send somebody to the PZ, lead a chopper back to the village. Least a chopper can land there.

GOLDMAN: Yeah, if it’s friendly.

HOCKENBURY: LT, whatever we do, she’s had it, she can’t walk anymore. We’ve gotta have a stretcher.

GOLDMAN: Percell, you and Pham grab a coupla ponchos, see if you can throw together a litter. Ruiz. Sergeant, you and Ruiz head for the PZ as fast as you can. If you’re lucky, you’ll make it by eighteen hundred hours.

ANDERSON: The VC’ll be on you before then LT. You’re gonna need somebody to slow ‘em down.

GOLDMAN: But I can’t spare two more men.

ANDERSON: I can handle it. I’ll take a couple of claymores – I’ll slow ‘em down, create a diversion, buy you some time.

RUIZ: I can make the PZ on my own LT.

GOLDMAN: I can’t ask you to do that Roo. It’s way above and beyond, you know.

RUIZ: It’s like a walk through Central Park only not half as dangerous.

GOLDMAN: Alright. Good luck.

GOLDMAN: Sergeant.

ANDERSON: Save me a seat on the chopper LT.

[29.43] Diversion for the VC

[31.01] Li’s village

TAYLOR: Hey Princess. We made it, it’s your home

GOLDMAN:  ??? come on out of there. Tell them to come out ???. Tell them to come out of their hootches  ???.

GOLDMAN: Come on out of there. Come on. (Lai Dai?) Come on. I’m not gonna hurt you, come on mama-san. Come on. Come on.  ??? check those back hootches, make sure they’re coming out.

VILLAGER: ???

GOLDMAN: What’s he saying?

CHIEU(?): He says the woman brings death to his village. She must go.

GOLDMAN: No—no. You tell him we need some food for the baby an—and we’re gonna rest for a little while. We’ll stay here for as long as we want. Go ahead tell him.

CHIEU:  ???

VILLAGER: ???

FEMALE VILLAGER:  ???

HOCKENBURY: LT?

GOLDMAN: Yeah. Go ahead—go ahead.

TAYLOR: I’ll take care of the baby

HOCKENBURY: Alright.

TAYLOR: What’s goin’ on Sir?

GOLDMAN: Oh it’s the same old thing. They think we’re poison, they think she’s poison. They’re afraid if we stay here too long that Charlie’s gonna come in an’ punish ‘em.

[33.00] Take a break Doc

TAYLOR: Doc. If you wanna take a break, I got it.

TAYLOR: How you doin’ Princess? Here’s you little one.

LI: Thank you

TAYLOR: Not much of a home-comin’ huh?

LI: They hate me here. Two of the villagers were executed after I was kidnapped.

TAYLOR: Why?

LI: As punishment for keeping an oppressor’s wife and as a warning to the village not to help others. It was stupid to come back here. We have to leave.

TAYLOR: We can’t leave Princess. You’re sick an’ why should you leave, this is your home.

LI: They think I am a soldier’s whore.

TAYLOR: To hell with them. You got a right to be here.

LI: But not a right to hurt all those people. I cannot stay. I cannot go. I belong to no-one.

[34.06] Long day, long war

TAYLOR: A long day LT.

GOLDMAN: Long war.

TAYLOR: Sarge should have been back by now. You think he’s okay?

GOLDMAN: Yeah. He’s always made it back before.

TAYLOR: Been doin’ some thinkin’ LT. You may be right, maybe I’m not ready to be a sergeant.

GOLDMAN: You mean you’re not ready to kill babies?

TAYLOR: That ain’t what I meant Sir. I don’t fault you for that. What you were doin’ was for your men, me included. An’ I know I don’t always show it but -- I appreciate it. I just don’t know if I coulda done it.

GOLDMAN: You coulda done it Taylor. I coulda done it too. Sometimes those are the only choices you’re left with. There it is.

[35.44] Lucky soldiers

LI: You soldiers are very lucky.

TAYLOR: Princess, we’re just grunts doin’ our time for Uncle Sam. There ain’t nothin’ lucky about that.

LI: But when your time is up you will be free to go home. I feel I no longer have a home.

HOCKENBURY: These people may change their mind, decide to let y’all stay.

TAYLOR: That’s too bad. I bet it was beautiful around here when you were a kid.

LI: Yes. I long for my childhood days. After the French were gone we thought that peace had some for ever. We played in that field across the road. I wanted my daughter to play there. That’s why I came home.

TAYLOR: Maybe she still can.

LI: That is where the Vietcon took the villagers to be executed. There is blood on the ground – no-one will ever play there again.

TAYLOR: Where ain’t there blood on the ground?

[37.15] Movement, 10 o'clock

PERCELL: LT – you see that movement ten o’clock?

GOLDMAN: Yeah. Hey, get back—get back in the village. Di-mao

PERCELL: Go. (Let’s?) go

GOLDMAN: Get inside ???

GOLDMAN: Taylor – take Pham and flank right. Chieu, you stick with me.

[38.28] OK Doc?

TAYLOR: Doc you okay?

HOCKENBURY: Yeah, we’re alright. Okay--okay

[39.48] Call for support

MCKAY: Where are the others?

RUIZ: An Lai village, they’ve got VC on their tail. We need to call in support.

MCKAY: Flying Dart-one-zero this is Goldilocks, request gunships.....

[39.11] Cut off

GOLDMAN: Percell! Grab the woman and head for the jungle.

PERCELL: Alright

PERCELL: We’re cut off.

PERCELL: Cover me

PERCELL: Chopper

GOLDMAN: Let’s go.

[40.26] Nice work

RUIZ: LT

GOLDMAN: Yeah. Oh man.

RUIZ: You okay?

GOLDMAN: Yeah, I’m okay. Nice work Roo.

RUIZ: What about Sarge, did he make it back?

GOLDMAN: I don’t know. Get over there an’ give Doc a hand will you?

RUIZ: Doc, what can I get you?

HOCKENBURY: Water for him.

[40.41] Li didn't make it

TAYLOR: Princess – Princess – Princess – Princess. Oh Princess.

[41.27] She's gone LT

TAYLOR: LT – she’s gone.

GOLDMAN: What about the kid?

TAYLOR: She’s okay.

PERCELL: Doc—Doc. Get over here. He’s hurt pretty bad.

PERCELL: Pham's dead. Is everyone else okay?

GOLDMAN: Everybody but the people we were supposed to help.

PERCELL: Taylor, you okay?

TAYLOR: Nam. The damned Nam.

[43.17] Wasn't expecting you

COLONEL LAN: I was not expecting you. Did your Commander not inform you that I would allow the artillery – even though your mission was a failure.

GOLDMAN: Taylor.

COLONEL LAN: I was not told the child survived.

GOLDMAN: It’s not the child, it’s your child. You’re all she’s got now.

TAYLOR: Take it. She’s your kid.

TAYLOR: He won’t take it LT, just like you figured.

GOLDMAN: You’re a son of a bitch. You couldn’t love this child any more than you loved your wife. She was just an object, something to possess.

COLONEL LAN: Show them out. Di-mao

COLONEL LAN:  ???

[44.00] Another for Sister Bernadette

GOLDMAN: Well it looks like Sister Bernadette’s got herself another boarder. At least it’s a home.

TAYLOR: Is it?
